Angela Gill Nelms is a dynamic entrepreneur, leadership coach, philanthropist, and podcast host. She is recognized for her work at the intersection of biomedical innovation, leadership development, and mental health advocacy.
Podcast Host and Storyteller
She is the founder and host of the Badass Leaders Podcast: Brave Hearts, Brave Conversations, Badass Leaders. On the show, she spotlights executives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who share stories about authentic leadership, communication, and resilience.
Angela also leads the Holy Shift! Biomedical Breakthroughs Shaping Tomorrow podcast, which makes university research accessible to the public. In addition, she is the host and producer of Recovery Advocate Network: Coffee and Conversation. This mental wellness podcast is dedicated to reducing stigma and improving access to recovery resources.
Driving Biomedical Innovation
As Managing Director of Biolocity, a joint initiative between Georgia Tech and Emory, Angela accelerates early-stage medical technologies. She mentors innovators in commercialization, strategic planning, and scaling startups. Her professional background spans SaaS, medical devices, corporate leadership, team building, conflict resolution, and process improvement. These experiences make her a sought-after motivational keynote speaker on leadership, mental health, communication, and organizational culture.

Leadership and Service
In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Angela serves on the Georgia Tech Advisory Board and the Georgia Tech College of Engineering Advisory Board. She also serves on the board of the Recovery Advocate Network, where she continues her advocacy for mental health, trauma healing, and addiction recovery.
Life Beyond Work
Outside of her professional life, Angela is an adventurer and storyteller. She has hiked on five continents, completed six IRONMAN triathlons, and enjoys creative hobbies such as beekeeping, woodturning, and blacksmithing. Above all, she values human connection — whether through her podcasts, mentoring leaders, or simply sharing tea and conversation.
