Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Angela speaks about her experience as a BME graduate
The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering celebrated its 25th anniversary, and to honor that momentous milestone, it called upon current students and notable alumni to speak about their experience with the program. As a proud 2007 BME grad, Angela Gill Nelms spoke about her experience at Georgia Tech and how it helped shape her into the thinker and leader she is today.
When reflecting on her time at the Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering, Angela said:
“I had an engineering brain and a passion for health care, so when I decided to go back to school to get my degree and move to Atlanta, Georgia Tech was (and, of course, still is) best of the best. This biomedical engineering degree was the perfect combination of an engineering mindset and a passion for healthcare, and it really spoke to my heart. It was a natural fit for me, and I jumped at the opportunity to join the program.”
